Delta files into Copenhagen
3 May 2006
Delta Airlines has launched a new service from Atlanta to Copenhagen.
The first flight took off on 1 May as the airline's first link between the Danish capital and the south east of the US.
Delta vice president Doug Blissit explained how he expected large numbers to fly from Denmark as many Danish firms are based around Atlanta.
He added: 'Delta's new route also paves the way for easy access to travellers coming from the Americas to do business in, or vacation around, the gorgeous capital city of Copenhagen in Denmark.'
The new service follows new routes for Delta from Atlanta to Dusseldorf and Tel Aviv.
Further routes that are due to start include Atlanta to Nice and New York-JFK to Budapest.
