450 films in Paris
25 May 2006
The Paris Cinema festival brings 450 films to 20 venues across the French capital this summer.
However, the biggest selling point for the festival that runs from 27 June to July 11 - is that tickets only cost 4 (£2.70) and every sixth film, for true film buffs, is free.
All genres of films will be covered - from action movies to experimental cinema and classics will be shown alongside more modern films and those that are receiving world premieres.
Free open air screens will also be erected during the festival, meaning over 70,000 people will enjoy films over the fortnight.
The public is also given the chance to meet the big names of cinema, with previous guests taking part in discussion panels including Jackie Chan, Tim Roth, Jean Moreau and Oliver Stone.
