bmi boosts Edinburgh to Manchester routes
21 Jun 2006
bmi is to increase the number of weekday flights on its Edinburgh-Manchester route.
Manchester services will be increased to six direct flights every weekday with the introduction of a midday service.
The decision to up the number of flights was taken after increased demand, from both business related traffic and customers connecting to and from bmi transatlantic flights.
bmi chief executive Nigel Turner said: 'Our bmi regional network continues to go from strength to strength.
'Strong demand due to thriving business, leisure and connecting traffic has necessitated the sixth weekday flight and I'm delighted that we've been able to expand our existing operations to provide the extra capacity needed.'
The increased service between Edinburgh Airport and Manchester Airport will start on 4 September 2006.
