Bristol's new £7m shopping bag

22 Jun 2006

Bristol International Airport has opened up a new £7m shopping outlet.

The investment sees a 40% growth in the number of shops and cafes available to passengers after passport control.

In total, travellers at Bristol International now have a choice of 15 outlets to fill their time while waiting to fly.

Jim McAuliffe, the airport's financial director, told the Bristol Evening Post: 'Bristol has worked hard to respond to the growing and varied demands of passengers looking for special presents, designer bargains, last-minute holiday purchases and presents for friends and family.'

He added that the new range big name high street retail and coffee outlets would 'surprise' many of passengers and provide 'a varied and exciting shopping experience which can only be experienced at major international airports'.
