'Anti-terror' cutlery launched

A UK-based company has announced that it is the first in the world to offer airlines so-called 'anti-terror' cutlery.
Since the tightening of security aboard aircraft across the world, metal knives and forks have been replaced by plastic versions by airlines concerned over the threat of terrorism.
However, family firm Arthur Price has revealed that its latest range of stainless steel cutlery has been a huge success with airline firms because it complies with the UK's Department of Transport guidelines.
Arthur Price has launched the stainless steel knives with blades that have been shortened to just 3cm, while the forks also have prongs of just 3cm in length.
The company claims that the new dimensions of the forks means that they 'cannot be used as a weapon', while the knives have also been given rounded ends.
It revealed that orders from Air India and Jet Airways have already been confirmed, with more carriers expected to follow in the near future.
