Monarch flies to Ibiza and Jerez
21 Jul 2006
Monarch has launched two new routes this week from Manchester to Ibiza and Jerez.
Next summer the airline will fly five times a week between Ibiza and Manchester and four times a week to Ibiza.
The airline has also increased the number of flights heading to Palma to twice daily.
The introduction of the new flights will mean Monarch will fly to all three Balearic Islands - Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza from Manchester.
Monarch scheduled services managing director Tim Jeans said: 'Manchester continues to be Monarch's largest UK base and we are delighted to be expanding services to the people of the north-west.
'We are confident that the addition of Ibiza to the network will be hugely popular with our passengers.'
However, with the new flights Monarch is also cutting back in other areas.
Due to low passenger numbers, the airline is to stop its service from Blackpool to Malaga in October.
