Hollywood actor Brad Pitt has revealed that he is concerned he may have ruined the tranquillity of Namibia.
The star and his girlfriend, Angelina Jolie, visited the country while she was pregnant and their daughter, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, was born there.
The couple spent a month in the country, staying at the Burning Shores resort, before the child was born in May.
Both Pitt and Jolie have promised to return to Namibia in order to carry out some charity work but the actor is concerned that their presence may destroy what they love most about the country.
'I was told that at a meeting of the African Union, the Namibian minister of tourism was asking South Africa how to benefit from tourism because people didn't go there,' said Pitt.
'Two months later, we went there, so we may have ruined a good thing.'
'But we were searching for something where we could bring our child into the world and have some semblance of privacy for ourselves and our kids,' he added.
Despite his concerns, Pitt says the couple will return to the country.
'Shiloh was given a Namibian passport and that will bring us back there,' he said.
'At the same time we can invest in the place - a place that Angie had fallen in love with - and help a little bit with their programme.'
