Rare lions in Australia

People taking a holiday in Australia can benefit from witnessing a rare sight at one of the country's top zoos.
The Mogo Zoo in New South Wales (NSW) is expecting an influx of visitors after unveiling a litter of white lion cubs.
Just nine weeks old, the cubs are part of only the second litter to be bred in Australia, following the first which were born only three months ago.
Until recently it was thought that the white lion was extinct after a period of 12 years without a sighting.
NSW south coast tourism officials are now hoping that many people will flock to the region in order to take a look at the rare species.
'Mogo Zoo has bred four white lions in three months; they've now got a pride of seven and I've seen the pride and they are beautiful,' said tourism minister Sandra Nori.
'These cubs are originally from the Timbavati region of Africa and they're rarer than the snow leopards of the Himalayas.'
The lions are now the focus of a global project which aims to protect the species from extinction.
