Organisers of an event which is described as "The toughest Ultra race in the world" are appealing for participants.
The Yukon Arctic Ultra pits man against the elements, and not just any elements. Competitors have to face Canada's most extreme natural hazards and they have to do it during winter.
Those taking part complete 100, 300 and 460-mile legs of a race which covers the length of one of Canada's northern most regions.
How they choose to do it is entirely up to them, with a choice of mountain biking, cross country skiing, foot or skijoring.
Participants will cross rivers which have frozen over, have to survive in temperatures of minus 30 degrees Celsius and negotiate unpredictable terrain.
Once the race is complete, the winner receives no cash prize, but does gain the experience and fellow admiration of his or her fellows.
