Ricky Gervais has revealed that he feels like a "proper actor" following his role in a Hollywood movie.
The Office star was invited to spend some time in Hollywood and appear in a film alongside Ben Stiller, who had previously worked with Gervais on Extras.
The British comedian had previously turned down offers from Hollywood but said he had to accept this offer as the money was just too good.
Gervais appears as an eccentric museum boss in the film called A Night at the Museum and insisted that many of his scenes were improvised.
'Ricky came to me before he was due to shoot his scenes and said, "You know what. I think this will work better with no script",' director Shawn Levy told BANG Showbiz.
'Two of his scenes with Ben are entirely improvised. They just bounced off each other.'
Gervais has since said that he is 'definitely going to work on more movies'.
