The Dutch Royals have taken to the slopes for a skiing holiday in the Austrian resort of Lech.

Princes on the piste included heir to the throne Prince Willem-Alexander and his brother Prince Constatijn.

They were joined by 69-year-old Queen Beatrix and her grandchildren Leonore (daughter of Prince Constatijn, born last June) and Princess Catharina-Amalia, three, and Princess Alexia, one (daughters of Prince Willem-Alexander).

Crown Prince Willem's wife, Argentian born Maxima, was also present. She is expecting her third child this April.

The resort of Lech, in the Alps' Arlberg mountains is home to four Olympic Champions, and is said to have been a favourite of Princess Diana's. Princes William and Harry have also skied at the exclusive resort.

Cliff Richard Renee Zelwegger and Colin Firth have graced Lech's slopes too.
Top hotels at Lech include Hotel Arlberg and the five-star Gasthof Post, which sports hunting trophies, hand-painted furniture and rooms with luxury steam baths.
