John Lennon airport wants major airline

Authorities at Liverpool John Lennon airport are trying to create a link with a major European airline.
The airport wants to offer its passengers the chance to fly to a number of different destinations around the world without having to first fly to another hub.
It is not clear which airline is being targeted by officials but they are said to be working closely with businesses in the area in a bid to woo a major player.
'We have more than 60 flights a day and soon we will have direct links to New York and Canada,' said Neil Pakey, from Peel Airports which owns Liverpool John Lennon, told the Liverpool Daily Post.
'The budget airlines, though, do not offer hub services. It is possible to fly from Liverpool and catch an onward flight to most parts of the world, but it means collecting your luggage and checking in again.
'The advantage of regular services to a hub airport means people can fly from Liverpool and check in once,' he added.
Liverpool John Lennon is one of the UK's fastest growing airports and officials clearly want that trend to continue.
