Steam safaris in South Africa

People travelling to South Africa will soon be able to benefit from a luxury steam train ride through parts of the region.
Rovos Rail is behind the routes which last for between fur and six days and the so-called Steam Safaris are set to be a hit with travellers.
Tourists who take the four-day safari will begin their journey at Capital Park, Pretoria and will make its way to Bloemfontein.
From here, the steam engine will head to the Eastern Cape, where it will pass through the Addo Elephant Park and comes to an end in Port Elizabeth.
The six-day safari is 400 kilometres longer begins its journey at Victoria Falls train station.
From here it makes its way to Thompson's Junction, before heading to Hwange Game Reserve, Bulawayo, the Soutpansberg Mountains, Polokwane and finally Capital Park Station in Pretoria.
'These unusual steam-hauled journeys in our luxury trains are great opportunities for ardent steam enthusiasts,' said Rohan Vos of Rovos Rail.
