Heathrow may see disruption

BAA is warning that there will be some disruption to flights in and out of Heathrow on 21 and 22 April.
The airport company says that the transition from the current control tower at the hub to a new one will lead to a reduced service.
Heathrow is welcoming the new control tower which has been created to help with the running of the new Terminal Five.
However, the handover means that landings have been reduced for a few hours to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
It means that some additional flights will be allowed to land earlier than scheduled, between 05:00 BST and 06:00 BST, while any further build up will be relieved after 23:30 BST.
Although disruption to passengers should be kept to a minimum, some local residents may be inconvenienced by the early and late arriving flights.
'We acknowledge that for some local residents this will have an effect on the level of aircraft noise that they experience,' said Mark Bullock, BAA managing director.
'We sincerely apologise for the disturbance to local residents during this necessary change to operations.'
