Rocklahoma adds new date

21 Jun 2007

Organisers of the 'biggest ever Glam Festival in the world' have announced that an additional day has been added to the event.

Initially a three-day festival, bosses say that tickets have been in such huge demand that they just had to add an extra day.

Rocklahoma, as the festival is called, is said to be the largest 80s rock festival ever and will see 29 bands take to the stage.

The festival is now due to kick-off on Thursday 12 July, with UK act Gypsy Pistoleros playing first.

'The evening of Thursday 12 July was simply added because the fans and the bands demanded it' said Dave Giencke, director of operations of the Pryor Creek Music Festival.

'It's exciting to see bands from all over the globe excited to be playing at Rocklahoma.'

Among the bands playing are Twisted Sister, W.A.S.P., Jackyl and Great White, as well as Kiss tribute band Kiss Army and Hollywood Roses, a Guns and Roses tribute act.
