Wet thrills in Kansas

21 Jun 2007

The newly-opened Wild West World theme park opened its newest ride on Father's Day (17 June).

Based in Kansas, the park has proved to be a massive hit in its opening weeks and thousands of people turned out to be one of the first to ride its newest edition.

The Prairie Plunge Log Flume is a 50-foot ride that is guaranteed to soak those who go on it.

People of all ages creamed with delight as the logs careered down the 50-foot slope, crashing into a pool of clear blue water.

Following the heart-pumping antics of the drop, riders are then treated to a peaceful, and much needed, lazy river ride.

Wild West World is home to many fun attractions, with 24 rides, 12 shops, 24 games, four musical stages, 12 restaurants and an indoor theatre.
