11 Jul 2007
Director Woody Allen has once more chosen to cast his new protege, Lost in Translation actress Scarlett Johansson, in his latest film, which is currently being filmed in Barcelona, Spain.
The seductive beauty, who worked with the veteran comedian and director on his two last pictures, the 2005 film Match Point and last year's Scoop, is currently working with Penelope Cruz and Kevin Dunn on the as-yet untitled Spanish project.
The crew has been spotted filming in the Barcelona Cathedral and Ovieodo, the old quarter of the city. They have also visited some of the city's most exclusive restaurants and the Passeig de Gracia: Chanel and Adolfo Dominguez, two luxurious boutiques.
Parts of the film will be shot in various other locations throughout Northern Spain.
Johansson shot to fame in recent years, following commanding performances in films such as Ghost World, The Island, The Prestige and The Black Dahlia. She is set to star as Mary Boleyn in the upcoming film The Other Boleyn Girl, as well as Mary I of Scotland in the biopic Mary Queen of Scots, to be released next year.
