Singapore boasts Asia's first 'CIP' lounge

19 Jul 2007

The new JetQuay CIP (Commercially Important Persons) Terminal at Singapore's Changi International Airport has been so successful since its launch that other Asian airports are clamouring to similar lounges all over the region, the firm that runs it has claimed.

JetQuay is Asia's first stand-alone luxury airport terminal, a spacious lounge that provides a host of services and facilities. CIPs will be offered food, beverage and made to order meals, while relaxing in the luxurious surroundings.

Customer's arriving at the terminal will benefit from valet parking and can leave their car for as long as they will be away. Upon returning, the car will have been washed and cleaned.

Baggage check-in and boarding requirements are all handled by the staff, meaning that CIPs can spend their pre-flight time enjoying the terminal's shopping facilities, an art gallery, a business centre and a Wi-Fi internet service.

'JetQuay is not another airport lounge. It is a unique concept that rolls an airport terminal, premium lounge and boutique hotel all into one building,' said Barry Nassberg, chief operating officer of Worldwide Flight Services, the main shareholder in JetQuay.

'It's open to all who value time, service and privacy. We serve all passengers flying on any airline in any class.'
