Elton John heads to French Riviera

Fresh from holidaying on the luxury Italian island of Capri, singer Elton John and his partner David Furnish headed over to the French Riviera to enjoy some quality time with friends on their yacht, Little Saf.

The pair travelled from their French holiday home which is situated in the hills surrounding Nice on the southern coast, only a short way from St Tropez. They made the journey on Elton's pleasure cruiser then enjoyed a spot of shopping at the exclusive Dolce & Gabbana boutique.

The 60-year old singing icon is the latest in an ever growing list of celebrities to spend their summer holidays in St Tropez, a luxury resort that has always been popular with the social elite, but has become the top celebrity summer spot this year.

Actress Eva Longoria, rapper P Diddy, newlyweds Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster and model Cindy Crawford have all been spotted enjoying a Mediterranean getaway at the resort town in recent weeks.
