Sydney Harbour Bridge 'climbs' to new milestone

This week, Sydney Harbour Bridge was ascended by the two millionth climber, as Ron Fienberg, from the USA made it to the 139 metre high summit, according to BridgeClimb Sydney.
Company founder Paul Cave commented: 'BridgeClimb is delighted to reach this milestone and we are privileged to be able to welcome climbers from Australia and all over the world to experience the Sydney Harbour Bridge.'
According to the company, 56% of those that have climbed the bridge are foreign visitors to the Australian city, while 26% are from within Sydney and the rest come from all over Australia.
The Sydney Harbour Bridge, which was constructed in 1932, is the tallest steel-arch bridge and widest long-span bridge in the world, according to the Guinness Book of Records. It is also the fourth longest-spanning arch bridge.
In March 2007, the iconic bridge celebrated its 75th anniversary.
