Amy Winehouse escapes to Caribbean

Amidst the problems that she and her family are having at home, jazz singer Amy Winehouse and husband Blake Fielder-Civil decided to escape from it all with a holiday to the Caribbean.
The troubled 23-year-old, who is said to be battling drug addiction and weight problems, headed to the sunny shores of St Lucia with Fielder-Civil, after a rough few months have seen her in and out of hospital and rehab.
Sporting a number of tattoos and a lime green bikini, Winehouse took a swim in the ocean, before cuddling up to Blake on shore at the exclusive island resort.
Set in the eastern Caribbean Sea on the boundary with the Atlantic Ocean, St Lucia is known as the "Helen of the West Indies" because the island was fought over between the British and French so often, that it was likened to Helen of Troy.
It was fist visited by Europeans around 1500 and didn't gain independence until 1979. Lately, it has become an extremely popular holiday destination for celebrities.
