New Delhi international airport hosts lots of visitors in its VIP lounge, but it had one of its most unusual on Sunday as a monkey appeared among waiting customers.
Passengers reportedly fled in fear of the animal as it passed security and ran amok in the airport.
While the monkey spent some time in the international departures terminal the VIP lounge was partially closed for more than an hour as animal control officers tried to corner the cheeky creature, the Metro reports.
Speaking at the time of the incident, one official said: 'They are giving the monkey fruits to keep it in one area around which a net has been put.
'There was some panic last night, but now since the net has been put, the monkey is isolated.'
New Delhi airport is currently undergoing construction and it is believed that the monkey could have entered through a hole in the ceiling.
