Emirates forges non-stop Dubai-Brazil link

Emirates has made history by completing a non-stop flights between the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and Sao Paulo in Brazil.
The Boeing 777-200 long-range aircraft departed from Dubai on 1 October with passengers from over 12 countries on board.
Travellers hailing from Japan, India, Malaysia, Australia and others boarded the flight as they connected through Dubai from other Emirates services.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, chairman and chief executive of the airline, said: 'Today marks an important milestone for Emirates; not only is it our first gateway in South America, but it means we now fly non-stop to six continents from Dubai.
'Our services provide a perfect match for businesspeople and leisure travellers from the whole Middle East region, Africa, Far East and Australia seeking a convenient route to South America.'
Emirates claims to offer 'unrivalled inflight service' to its passengers, including eight private suites, 42 lie-flat seats in business class and 'generous space' for 216 economy customers.
