Access to New York 'easy, affordable' from south-west

17 Oct 2007

The development of Bristol airport and the addition of new services from the south-west has made access to New York and other US destinations easy and affordable, a spokesman for the hub has claimed.

One of the most recent developments at Bristol in recent times has been the addition of direct flights to New York with Continental Airlines.

Travellers using this service have further access to some 143 destinations across the Americas via connections at the carrier's New York base.

Tony Hallwood, aviation development director at Bristol airport, said: 'Continental's daily service has made New York a convenient and affordable destination for business and leisure travellers across the South West.

'At the same time, an increasing number of US visitors are also enjoying easier access to this region's attractions, such as Bath, historic Bristol, the Cotswolds and Stonehenge.'

Other links from Bristol include an Air France service to Paris Charles de Gaulle three times a day and a KLM connection to Amsterdam.
