Swiss Airlines has announced a number of expansions that will be taking place in its route network this winter, with a new flight to Delhi among the developments.
Delhi will be the national carrier's second destination in India, after Mumbai.
The airline said that the new service is in direct response to market demand, from tourists and business travellers, for a direct service from Switzerland to Delhi.
There will also be modifications to Swiss' European operations this winter, with capacity on its Zurich-Berlin route increased by around a third through the addition of a new daily flight.
The changes will bring the total number of destinations in the Swiss winter schedule to 71, across 42 countries.
Summer 2008 will see the airline open a new link to Shanghai, with flights from Switzerland to the Chinese city commencing on 9 May.
