A380 'will boost passenger experience'

22 Oct 2007

The Airbus A380, which will soon enter full service and fly passengers from Singapore to Australia, will offer a significant boost to traveller experiences, according to Virgin Atlantic.

A spokesperson for the airline said that a plane the size of the A380, which is the largest passenger aircraft in the world, offers carriers more options to provide a tailored product to customers.

'This aircraft type will give airlines the ability to use the additional space in an interesting way to enhance the passenger experience,' said Anna Knowles, head of PR at Virgin Atlantic.

'Virgin Atlantic always tries to ensure that it is able to offer unique features onboard any new aircraft type.'

Ms Knowles also claimed that economy passengers will be able to enjoy the experience offered by the new Airbus as much as business class customers.

'The A380 will carry more passengers than any of its predecessors so economy passengers will benefit from this new aircraft as well,' she explained.

The first Airbus A380 was delivered to Singapore Airlines on 15 October and orders have been placed by Emirates and Qantas.
