Second Lyon 'to be built in Dubai'

Dubai in the United Arab Emirates could be set to hold a city within a city in the future as a result of an ambitious plan devised by a local entrepreneur.
Buti Saeed Al Gandhi has launched a project to create a recreation of Lyon, France in Dubai, AFP reports.
Mr Al Gandhi said that his aim was not to reconstruct the French city but capture its best elements and its spirit.
The development could include basic urban features, such as offices and houses, as well as a film library, a hotel, subsidiaries of Lyon museums and a football academy run by Olympique Lyonnais.
'I have fallen in love with Lyon and I think this city has a lot to offer Dubai,' Mr Al Gandhi said.
Speaking at a press conference, Lyon's mayor Gerard Collomb said the city was 'flattered' that it could inspire a place like Dubai.
In a similar development recently, the United Arab Emirates' capital of Abu Dhabi signed a deal to build a spin-off of Paris' Louvre museum.
