The Brittany Tourist Board has announced that the city of Rennes is to open an exhibition based on King Arthur this year.
According to the tourism organisation, the display will be the first ever major exhibition on the legend of King Arthur.
The showcase will open at the Champs Libres, which is described as the 'cultural hub of Rennes', on 15 July and run until January next year.
Other spaces in the Champs Libres includes areas dedicated to science and the history of Brittany.
The King Arthur exhibition will set about exploring the life of the legendary monarch, attempting to go beyond the historical background by using ancient sources and contemporary adaptations.
More than 200 pieces will comprise the display, situated in three exhibition rooms on two floors.
Among the exhibits will be a carefully preserved, illustrated manuscript of the stories of the Round Table.
