Holidaymakers staying in a number of Hilton hotels in the Americas will soon be able to bring their pets along too.
The chain announced a new 'pet-friendly' scheme that will see some of its hotels fully prepared to welcome its customers' furry companions from this summer.
Pet-friendly rooms will feature stain- and water-resistant animal beds, food and water bowls with placemats and amenity kits including waste clean-up bags and treats.
A hotel concierge service will also provide information on local dog runs, veterinarian offices and pet boutiques.
Jeff Diskin, Hilton's senior vice-president of brand management, said: 'Hilton focuses on providing a hassle-free and inspired experience for the world's travellers and for many travellers, being able to include a four-legged friend is critical to achieving a relaxed and productive stay.
'Our Pet Friendly program was designed with all of our guests in mind those with or without pets so that every stay can be personalised to meet the needs of the individual traveller and their entire family.'
If the US scheme proves successful, Hilton could offer pet-friendly rooms at hotels in a number of international locations.
