NY offers exhibition for superhero fans

Fans of comic books and superhero movies will find an exhibition in New York this summer that may offer a perspective on the cultural phenomenon they had never considered before.
Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy will be on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art until 1 September.
This exhibition looks at the range of symbolic and metaphorical associations that exist between the superhero and fashion.
The display includes movie costumes, avant-garde haute couture and high-performance sportswear.
Through these exhibits, the museum looks at how the superhero functions as the 'ultimate metaphor' for the power of fashion to empower and transform the human body.
Visitors to New York can find plenty to keep them interested at New York's Met museum, including an extensive photography exhibition that will run until 19 October.
