Dubai in the United Arab
Emirates (UAE) will soon boast a new entertainment district themed around Indian entertainment.
The new Bollywood area will be the result of a multi-million dollar joint venture between Yash Raj Films, a prominent Indian entertainment brand, and Dubai Infinity Holdings (DIH).
Tourists will be able to visit theme park attractions, a movie palace, concept hotels and other attractions related to Indian entertainment, Gulf News reports.
Samira Abdul Razzak, chief executive of Dubai Infinity Holdings, said that the development was 'an encouraging and exciting step' for the company.
He added: 'This will be a one of a kind partnership here in the UAE.'
Yashraj Films is one of the world's biggest film distribution companies, according to statistics from the Hollywood Reporter.
Yash Chopra, head of the firm, said: 'We are happy to be partnering up with DIH in making our foothold stronger in the region.'
