The
Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi is to offer the most expensive holiday package in the world, reports the Economic Times.
Costing $1m (£512,147), the deal could put the hotel, which at $3bn is the most expensive ever built, into the Guinness Book of World Records, according to the state-run news agency.
The package is for two guests to spend seven nights all-inclusive in a 680 sq m palace suite and also includes daily spa treatment in the Anantara Spa, unlimited chauffer-driven journeys and a first-class return trip from any international destination serviced by
Etihad Airways, according to the hotel's director of sales and marketing, Janet Abrahams.
She added that the deal also features tailor-made trips such as a day in Iran to create a Persian bespoke carpet or a visit to Bahrain to go deep sea diving for pearls.
Ms Abrahams explained: 'The package seeks to give celebrities, luminaries and well-known businessmen the lifetime chance to stay in the unique iconic
Emirates Palace, experience seven days of wonder and at the same time the opportunity to effectively promote their business message.'
The hotel reported record occupancy rates last year, claiming that the number of guests doubled.
