Visitors to the Caribbean and Latin America will soon have a number of new accommodation options to choose from following the opening of five new Marriott International hotels.
Two of these are set to open this year the 135-room Courtyard in Guayaquil, Ecuador and the 138-room Courtyard in Paramaribo, Suriname.
The remaining three hotels in Honduras, Peru and Trinidad will open in 2010.
Ed Fuller, managing director of international lodging for Marriott International, said: 'We are excited by the range of travel experiences these five properties will represent and that, with the exception of the Courtyard hotel in Suriname, all are additional properties in countries in which we are already operating.'
Mr Fuller said the new openings would give both local and long-haul travellers the opportunity to experience the 'Marriott International brand of international lodging' in these countries.
Marriott International's portfolio in Latin America and the Caribbean currently consists of 51 hotels offering more than 12,000 rooms in 20 countries.
