P&O Cruises has announced the addition of two Caribbean itineraries to what it describes as 'its most varied winter programme'.
The services will be of interest to people who like to make their cruise bookings early as they will take place in early 2010.
Both sailings will be operated by the 'superliner' Oriana and will last five weeks, departing from Southampton.
The first will depart on 8 January and will spend 36 nights visiting Caribbean and Central American ports such as St Lucia, Barbados, Santo Tomas de Castilla and Montego Bay.
Some 13 ports will be included on the second tour, departing on 13 February, including St Maarten, Grand Cayman, New Orleans, Tampa and Princess Cays.
P&O Cruises managing director Nigel Esdale said: 'These new holidays will offer UK holidaymakers a more leisurely and relaxing way to escape the British winter and visit warmer climes.
'They will appeal to people who want a comprehensive exploration of the Caribbean, without having to set foot on an aeroplane, and to those who can't be away for such a long period of time as a world voyage.'
Mr Esdale points out that the cruise line's 2009-10 winter programme will include choices ranging from two-week fly cruises and month-long tours to three-month worldwide voyages.
