A new Four Points by Sheraton hotel is set to open in the lively Soho district of New York City, it has been announced.
This establishment will be the second Four Points hotel to open in New York, with the Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan Chelsea already up-and-running.
The brand is set to continue its expansion in New York with the opening of the Sheraton Midtown-Times Square property in early 2009.
Sheraton's forthcoming Four Points in Soho is described as 'the area's first newly constructed, moderately priced hotel'.
Sandy Swider, vice-president of Four Points by Sheraton, said: 'We are actively growing our New York City portfolio to address the acute need for moderately priced lodging in urban neighborhoods.'
The 150-room property will have attributes including easy access to a lively social scene as well as extras such as free high-speed internet access and free bottled water.
As well as exploring Soho, guests will be able to visit areas such as Chinatown, Little Italy, Chelsea and Tribeca, or take a short subway ride to Broadway or midtown Manhattan.
