Atlantis, The Palm, the first resort to open on the Palm Jumeirah island in Dubai, is set to begin welcoming visitors in just over a week, it has been confirmed.
The revolutionary hotel and tourist attraction will boast 1,539 rooms that holidaymakers will be able to use from 24 September onwards.
Its owners claim that Atlantis will 'redefine tourism in Dubai' as it will be the emirate's first fully integrated entertainment resort.
Attractions include Aquaventure, which is the biggest water park in the Middle East, an open-air marine habitat and a long stretch of beach.
Holidaymakers will also be able to dine in four celebrity chef restaurants, visit a nightclub in the evenings, relax during the day in a spa or explore a number of shops and boutiques.
People taking holidays in Dubai in the future will be able to reach Atlantis via a six-lane underwater vehicle tunnel or onboard a monorail which travels through the centre of the Palm Jumeirah to reach the resort.
