The top tourism experiences in Victoria, the state located in south-east Australia, have been listed following a survey by the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV).
Some 76,000 web visits were registered during the Victoria 101 campaign, which concluded that a drive along the Great Ocean Road is the state's best tourism experience.
The Audax Alpine Classic event was ranked second in the list, followed by the Ford Discovery Centre in Geelong, Wilsons Promontory and the small town of Walhalla, which was founded as a gold-mining community in 1863.
Other experiences in the top ten included the Blues Train at Queenscliff, Grampians National Park and the Great Victorian bike ride.
Neil James, RACV tourism and travel manager, said: 'The Great Ocean Road was a clear leader for most of the online campaign and after more than 22,000 votes, it has been confirmed as the number one tourism experience.
'Regional areas dominated the top ten but Melbournians showed pride in the city's attractions, nominating a large number of experiences and voting more than 17 of them into the top 101.'
