Gulf Air improves Heathrow-Muscat schedule

1 Oct 2008

Gulf Air has announced an adjustment to its schedule of flights from London Heathrow to Muscat, the capital of Oman.

From 26 October the airline, which is the national carrier of Bahrain, will offer a twice-daily service from Heathrow to Muscat with a stopover of no more than 60 minutes at its home hub.

The new schedule will include a flight that lands in Muscat at 09:15 local time, giving visitors time to check into their hotel early and enjoy a whole day in the city.

James Harrison, Gulf Air's general manager for the UK and Ireland, said the airline was 'delighted' to offer improved connectivity to Oman, which was described as a 'luxury holiday destination'.

He added: 'Oman is becoming even more popular for long weekends and short breaks.

'Our new schedule gives [passengers] the chance to enjoy our renowned service and hospitality and the choice of night flights in both directions to maximise their stay and enjoy the stunning beaches, diverse landscapes and wonderful sea life that Oman has to offer.'

Gulf Air offers three daily flights from London Heathrow to Bahrain, enabling travellers to access connections to destinations in the Middle East, India, south-east Asia and the far east.
