Holland America Line announces new Scandinavia cruises

Holland America Line has announced new six-day round-trip Scandinavia cruises that will depart from Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

The new itineraries will take in Denmark, Sweden and Norway and are aimed at travellers looking for a short getaway.

Departing on 18 July, one sailing will call at the ports of Helsingborg, Oslo and Copenhagen, with a 22-hour stay in the Danish capital, before returning to Rotterdam.

The second itinerary will take travellers from Rotterdam on 24 July along the coast of Norway, with calls at Flam, Bergen and Stavanger and two days of scenic cruising that will take in locations including Lysefjord and Pulpit Rock.

Richard D Meadows of Holland America Line said: 'Given our legacy in Rotterdam, we are thrilled to be sailing in and out of this magnificent port, right past our original headquarters, now the Hotel New York.

'It's a unique and unforgettable experience to watch Rotterdam's citizens cheering at our arrivals and departures.'
