Etihad launches chauffeur service in Geneva

2 Oct 2008

Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, has announced the introduction of a complimentary chauffeur service for its premium passengers at Geneva airport in Switzerland.

All first and business class customers will be able to take advantage of the service, which will be available within a 60-kilometre radius of the airport.

Passengers will be driven to their destination in either a Mercedes S class or E series car.

The offering in Geneva represents an extension to Etihad's chauffeur service, which is already available in Abu Dhabi, London Heathrow, Dublin, New York, Sydney and other destinations.

Geert Boven, Etihad's executive vice president of sales and services, said: 'We believe that the experience our customers have on the ground is just as important as the one they experience with us in the air.

'Travelling to and from the airport can sometimes leave passengers feeling pressured, something the new chauffeur service totally eliminates.'

Etihad flies between Geneva and its hub in Abu Dhabi four times a week.
