Dubai Mall to open this week

The Dubai Mall will open its doors tomorrow (4 November), providing a brand new attraction for visitors to the United Arab Emirates.
Dubai's Tourism and Commerce Marketing department described the new mall as 'one of the world's largest lifestyle, entertainment and shopping destinations'.
Major attractions at the mall will include more than 600 retail outlets, an Olympic-sized ice rink, an indoor theme park and a 22-screen cinema complex.
Tourists will also be able to visit the Dubai Aquarium and Discovery Centre, which features a 270-degree walkthrough tunnel.
The mall's general manager, Yousif Al Ali, said: 'The Dubai Mall is a one-of-its-kind experience in the region and marks the future of retail in the region by reinventing the shopping experience for the whole family.
'Dubai has already established its place in the world as one of the best business and tourism destinations and the Dubai Mall, as an ambassador for Dubai, will highlight to the world the capabilities and strengths of this city.'
The Dubai Mall is part of the Downtown Burj Dubai development, which will boast the world's tallest building, the Burj Dubai, as its centrepiece.
