Cirque du Soleil touring Spain

People planning holidays in Spain who have an interest in unusual entertainment should be sure to check out the Cirque du Soleil show Varekai over the coming months.
The show is currently based at the Recinto Ferial Casa de Campo in Madrid, where it can be seen until 4 January.
From 29 January to 22 February, Varekai will come to Charco de la Pava in Seville before heading to Bilbao from 26 March to 19 April.
Visitors to the European cities of Hamburg, Ostend, Zurich and Munich will also be able to see the show during its 2009 tour.
Varekai tells the mythical story of a solitary young man who falls from the sky into a magical forest populated by fantastical creatures and sets off on an extraordinary adventure.
The show includes a number of impressive circus performers, including balancing acts, trapeze artists, clowns and jugglers.
Another Cirque du Soleil show, Quidam, will be open in Brussels until 21 December before heading to the UK in 2009 for short stays in London, Belfast, Newcastle, Glasgow and other cities.
