Plenty of events on offer in Miami

The Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau has published a guide to the 'hot happenings' in the city and the surrounding areas between January and June 2009.
One of the cultural highlights will be the Women's International Film and Arts Festival, which will bring films, visual arts and performances to theatres throughout Miami-Dade County from 9 to 19 January.
Gastronomes should head to the Coconut Grove area on 10 and 11 January for the 19th annual Taste of the Grove festival.
This event provides a showcase for the range of fine dining and casual eating restaurants in the area and also hosts live jazz performances and children's entertainment.
Miami's Fair Expo Center will be a centre of activity from 31 January to 1 February as it presents the International Orchid Festival, which features more than 40 commercial orchid growers from around America and the world.
There will be plenty of sporting events on offer in Miami in the opening months of 2009, including two top American football games at Dolphin Stadium on 1 and 8 January, followed by the Acura Miami Grand Prix regatta from 5 to 8 March.
