Qatar Airways made a second appearance at the China International Travel Mart (CITM) this year, which it states is indicative of its plans to continue expanding in the region.
The airline said that its intentions to develop more services in China will 'benefit the travelling public'.
Held in Shanghai between 20 and 23 November, the four-day CITM this year drew the attention of a number of tourism organisations from around the world and is reportedly recognised as one of the leading travel fairs in Asia.
Qatar Airways chief executive officer Akbar Al Baker said that the airline is looking forward to increasing its presence at the CITM in the future.
Marwan Koleilat, the carrier's senior vice president for the region, added: 'In the past decade, China's exceptional economic growth has boosted the development of the tourism industry here and brought excellent opportunities to global airlines.
'We are delighted to be part of this process and we've positioned China as one of our key markets in Asia.'
People planning to travel to China can catch connecting flights with Qatar Airways to destinations including Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong via the airline's hub in Doha.
