The Science Museum picked up the industry award for London's best visitor attraction at the recent Visit London Awards, followed by the Wellcome Collection and the London Transport Museum.
London Walks was another winner in the industry section of the awards, receiving the accolade for the best tourism experience, ahead of Vinopolis and the Royal Observatory in Greenwich.
Visit London also handed out a number of people's choice awards, with winners including Selfridges (best retailer), Oxford Street (best shopping destination) and Jersey Boys (best West End show).
One of the most unusual prizes of the night, the Londoners' favourite Londoner award, went to Sir Michael Caine, who said he was 'honoured' by the accolade.
Visit London's interim chief executive Sally Chatterjee said: 'The Visit London Awards celebrate the people and places that help make London the number one city destination in the world for international travel.
'We extend our warmest congratulations to all our winners, including Sir Michael Caine.'
Visit London recently announced that the capital would once again host a regular season American football game at Wembley Stadium in October 2009.
