Prestigious art collection on show at the Met

Art enthusiasts taking trips to New York next year will be able to visit an exhibition of artwork from the prestigious collection of Jean Bonna.
The display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which will run from 21 January to 26 April, will be the first comprehensive exhibition dedicated to Mr Bonna's collection of 19th century drawings.
Some 120 pieces will appear in the showcase, spanning some 500 years of art history from the Renaissance to 1900.
The exhibition also covers art from a range of destinations, including Italy, France and Great Britain, and includes pieces by such seminal artists as Raphael, Rembrandt, Goya, Manet, Whistler and Van Gogh.
Between 24 February and 24 May, visitors to New York will be able to see an exhibition at the Met looking at French sculpture.
The event will include works dating from as far back as the 16th century, when French sculpture was influenced by the styles of the Renaissance, including statuettes, portrait busts and monuments.
