Fantastic film on show in Amsterdam

Amsterdam will be a popular travel destination among film fans in April as it hosts its Fantastic Film Festival.
The event will take place between 15 and 26 April this year, with screenings being held at the city's Pathe Tuschinski venue.
With a strict focus on horror, science-fiction, thriller, anime and cult movies, the Fantastic Film Festival has developed into something of a cultural institution in Amsterdam.
The festival includes a number of events that are popular with film fans, including an all-night marathon of horror films that is certainly not for the faint-hearted.
Visitors will also be able to attend discussions and enjoy retrospectives exploring the genres with which the festival is concerned.
Accolades are handed out to the most popular and successful films screened, with the Silver Scream award going to the audience favourite. Spanish horror flick REC picked up this honour last year, with previous winners including Kung Fu Hustle and Donnie Darko.
