Record snowfall at Europe's alpine resorts has led to a surge in demand for last-minute ski holiday bargains, according to reports.
A number of tour operators experienced huge demand over the Christmas and New Year period, with some beginning to run out of holiday packages to meet the interest.
There are still some deals available, however, particularly for trips based on chalet accommodation, reports the Times.
According to the Ski Club of Great Britain, snowfall in European resorts has created the best conditions in a decade.
The latest reports from the organisation state that there are currently excellent off-piste conditions in major destinations such as Courchevel in France, Kitzbuhel in Austria and Zermatt in Switzerland.
Speaking about the factors that skiers take into account when choosing their resort, Ski Club of Great Britain spokeswoman Carrie Hainge said: 'Snow conditions are key.
'It tends to be the top resorts which are more popular and snow-sure than some of the smaller resorts.'
