'Perfect conditions' for skiing in New York

Upstate ski areas in New York are currently enjoying excellent winter sports conditions following a snowstorm last week, according to reports.
Some of the locations to see significant snowfall recently include Whiteface Mountain and Kissing Bridge, the New York State division of tourism revealed.
Kirt Zimmer, director of sales and marketing for Windham Mountain, said: 'We have all of our trails open and I honestly haven't seen better conditions in my five years here.
'I was out riding yesterday morning and the snow was so soft that I never heard my board scrape anything.'
A number of ski areas are also hosting events and special offers to raise travellers' awareness of the winter sport opportunities on offer in New York.
On 7 February, Winter Jam NYC will be held in East River Park on the lower east side of Manhattan, featuring a professional snowboarding competition, a winter snowfield with snowshoeing and a snowman-making contest.
