Japan Airlines improves inflight meals

Japan Airlines has announced a number of changes to its inflight menus for business class customers.
The carrier confirmed that, from 1 March, it will extend the improved service that has been implemented on its flights to the USA to its European services.
Business class travellers flying from Tokyo to London, Paris, Frankfurt and Amsterdam will be offered a wider range of dishes to choose from and a 'heightened level of personalised service'.
Main meal options will now include a choice of meat or fish to go with rice that is freshly cooked on board, while the first course will consist of eight small dishes rather than the current three.
Delicacies including sashimi-style bream and baby sardines will also be served along with a glass of Japanese sake or shochu.
Japan Airlines is the biggest airline in Asia in terms of sales revenues and the second biggest in passenger terms.
The carrier operates an international network serving 214 airports in 33 countries, including 60 different hubs in Japan alone.
